Step back in time, a nostalgic time&hellip; Introducing Petersburg's theater on the square, Salem on Seventh. Recently renovated by Terror on the Square owner Shawn McKinney and crew, this 1930&rsquo;s era theater/play house boasts a 12'x20' three foot high elevated stage complete with spots, velvet curtains, and a retractable 10' movie screen. The quaint venue is designed with an art deco influence including&nbsp;theater seating from the original Salem Theater once located on Douglas Street in Petersburg, accompanied with impressive 14&rsquo; high ceilings trimmed with authentically reproduced lighting, original wainscoting and trim, giving an ambiance of an earlier time. The theater also offers a refreshment lobby with the aroma of fresh buttered popcorn, snacks and bottled soda, with the option of &ldquo;out of the ordinary&rdquo; temptations for special events. This thousand square foot addition to the haunted attraction will boast an old time magic/illusion act for many of the Terror on the Square patrons to relish.
